Chiesa di San Bartolomeo

The foundation stone was laid on 14 July 2001 by the Ordinary Abbot Bernardo D'onorio. The project was drawn up by architect Giuseppe Picano.

Compact in form, precise in its symmetries, the church was positioned on a raised level at 3.40 metres, connected to the surrounding space by a green slope so that the difference in height would accommodate the various compositional elements such as the square's churchyard.

The interior of the church has clear geometric lines with the main axis oriented towards the altar and the ambo, where the Blessed Sacrament, placed higher up in the centre of the presbytery, is the fulcrum of the whole.
